Once you accept an offer from a dealer, payment timing is determined by the dealer, not Design Auto. While each dealer operates independently and abides by different polices, in most cases, sellers are paid within 1–3 business days after the dealer receives the title, vehicle and completed paperwork. Some transactions may take slightly longer depending on title status, payoff processing, or transport timing.

Payment methods are handled directly by the purchasing dealer and typically include: Wire transfer, ACH transfer, Company check. The dealer will confirm the payment method with you before finalizing the sale.

No problem. Vehicles with existing loans are very common. The purchasing dealer will work directly with your lender to pay off the lien and handle the title release. If there is equity after the payoff, the remaining balance is paid to you. Equity payments are paid according to each dealer's policies.

Leased vehicles can sometimes be sold, depending on: Your leasing company's policies Current buyout terms Market value vs. payoff If your lease allows third-party buyouts, we can introduce you to dealers willing to review the opportunity and advise on next steps.

Transport logistics are coordinated between you and the purchasing dealer. Depending on the deal, the dealer may: Arrange enclosed or open transport Ask you to drop the vehicle off at a dealership Coordinate a local pickup All transport details are confirmed after you accept an offer.

Design Auto does not purchase vehicles directly, but many dealers in our network are comfortable buying cars with disclosed cosmetic or mechanical needs.
